Fota’s Logistics Centre

The key clients of Fota are the workshops but also spare parts shops and wholesalers. All together Fota S.A. serves over than 35 thousand customers.

Fota sells spare parts through the largest national network of distribution points. Since 2001 very modern Logistic Centre in Lódź has been managing this chain. It’s surface reaches 26 tys. m2. The company owns over 90 sale points, 8 of them has the status of regional warehouses. Over 60 posts led on the basis of agencies run by proven partners in tradeoff Fota. The company has also activated 3 warehouses outsider Poland in as follows: Hungary. Czech Republic and Ukraine.

Logistic Centre uses the newest techniques and machines including bar codes applied all over the world in the distributions centers. All the branches and regional warehouses are joined with the Logistic Centre by a broad computer network, which in effect gives a very efficient logistic system covering no t only Poland but also selected Central Eastern European countries.

The branches as well as the key clients can place their orders virtually until 6 p.m. Fota as the first spare parts distributor introduced a on-line sail system through the internet. Currently about 7 thousand orders are placed on daily basis on behalf of the internet.

The deliveries are realized during the night 6 days a week. Each and every day Fota sends all in all over than 200 m3 of various products(from pins, bulbs, brake drums to fuel tanks). Monthly almost 1 million different products leaves Logistic Centre. Those land to workshops, wholesalers, spare parts shops in Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary and Ukraine.

A very developer distribution system allows the company to deliver the ordered goods to many places in Poland within an hour. At the moment it is possible in about 20% of the county’s area. The aim of the company is to reach 80% of it’s area.
