Kager Vertigo – Every Driver’s Friend

The winter is a very difficult period for every driver and their car.

Before the winter season, our cars require special attention and care, so as not to disappoint us at the least favourable moment. The new battery Kager Vertigo, introduced by Fota into the Polish market in September this year, will surely help to prepare a vehicle properly for the winter.

Maintenance-free batteries Kager Vertigo are manufactured in calcium-calcium (Ca-Ca) technology. In this technology, calcium is added to the lead alloy of which the battery grates are made. The admixture of calcium results in reduced water consumption of the battery. It is so, because calcium in the battery is chemically inactive, and thus its molecules do not precipitate and do not create impurities, causing water „evaporation” from electrolyte, on the minus plate. Thus the driver needs not check and replenish the electrolyte level in the battery in its entire working life.

The application of calcium and the reduction of water consumption also decisively limits the self-discharging process, which speeds up with the working time in conventional batteries. This property of the lead-calcium alloy is especially important for drivers driving on short distances and for users of vehicles which are utilised seasonally (in agriculture, construction industry and forestry), cars with tourist trailer (caravan), or in the case of second cars in households which are rarely or never used during winter.

The batteries Kager Vertigo are equipped with envelope separators which extend the working life of the device, and also eliminate the danger of short-circuit between the battery plates, by limiting the negative consequences of erosion of the active material. They are also equipped with grips facilitating transport and installation in a vehicle.

The batteries Kager Vertigo have been manufactured in the Bosch concern factories.
